How to replace the rear Trunk Lock Cylinder on Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

The first step to replace the rear compartment lock cylinder in a monte carlo is to open the storage area. Pull off the lock cylinder retainer from the rear compartment and move it away. After that, eliminate the rear compartment lock cylinder from its position along with both accessories. Press the rear compartment lock cylinder shaft into the lid opening before you put it with the gasket into the lock cylinder hole. Push it down until it fits completely into place. Put the lock cylinder retainer on the rear storage lock cylinder before pushing it to make sure it settles in position. Then touch the lid last.
