How to service and repair the radiator cooling fan motor on 2000 Chevrolet Prizm?

Starting radiator cooling Fan Motor repair work requires disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. The servicing process starts by disconnecting the wire and connector from the Fan Shroud while removing all five cooling Fan Shroud to radiator mounting bolts. First disconnect the nut(s) from the fan of the defective Fan Motor before removing the three screws to detach the Fan Motor from the cooling fan assembly. You must first bolt three screws to connect the cooling Fan Motor to the cooling fan assembly before securing the fan on the motor by one nut. Reinstall the Fan Shroud wire and connector before securing the cooling fan assembly onto the radiator where you can bolt five mounting bolts to the Fan Shroud. Secure the mounting bolts of the cooling fan to 6 nm (53 inch lbs.) and tighten the negative Battery Cable to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.).
