In order to service and repair the trailing arm, first, lift and support the vehicle, then dismount the tire and wheel assembly. Next, remove the two bolts, two nuts and the trailing arm. When fitting the trailing arm, make sure you distribute the weight of the vehicle to the tires and wheels before you tighten the nuts and bolts. Safeguard the trailing arm by using the two bolts and nuts before you re-install the tire and wheel assembly and drop the vehicle back. Stabilize the suspension with bouncing the vehicle up and down for several times which kills the suspension. Finally, tighten the trailing arm bolts and nuts to 91 Nm (67 ft. lbs.) and check on the rear wheel alignment.
