How to replace the defroster Blend Door Actuator on 2000 Chevrolet Venture?

Firstly, take out the instrument panel compartment to replace the defroster actuator. Unplug the vacuum lines from the defroster vacuum actuator. Without dislodging the star vent, rotate the defrost valve lever fully rearward (counterclockwise) and place a screwdriver safely between the bottom of the lever and the protruding wall of the hvac module case, leave the screwdriver in place until the actuator re-installation. Pry the vacuum actuator retaining tab loose to only slide the vacuum actuator to the passenger side of the vehicle. Slowly turn the vacuum actuator around so it lifts from the instrument panel support and then disconnect the vacuum actuator pushrod from defrost valve lever and remove it from vacuum actuator. For installation connect the defroster vacuum actuator pushrod to the defrost valve lever, then turn the vacuum actuator rearward and downward to align the actuator slots with the hvac module mounting pins, it is prohibited from binding on the lever. Push the vacuum actuator in the direction of the hvac module case to lock the retaining tab, and take the screwdriver out. Mount the vacuum lines to the vacuum actuator and reinstall instrument panel lower compartment.
