How to replace the Blend Door Actuator on Chevrolet Venture?

Remove the knee bolster in order to replace the air temperature actuator. Depending on the model of the vehicle, you may need to specify the zone of the air-conditioned system. Set hvac controls to the vent mode to locate the defroster door lever that is required for access into air temperature actuator. Next, disconnect and remove the temperature door lever bolt from hvac module, disconnect and remove the temperature door lever spring , disconnect and remove the temperature door lever of the temperature door. Remove the mounting screws to remove the air temperature actuator by disconnecting the air temperature actuator electrical connector. For installation, first of all, you should install a new air temperature actuator and fix it using mounting screws and tighten it to 1.6 n.m (14 lb in). Make the connection for the air temperature actuator wire, then install the temperature door lever on the temperature door and make sure its pin is located at the slot in the lever. Connect the temperature door lever spring to the temperature door lever and the hvac module case, and install the temperature door lever bolt to the hvac module case and tighten it to 0.9 n.m (8 lb in.). Finally, reinstall the knee bolster.
