How to replace the LH Blend Door Actuator on 2004 Chevrolet Venture?

The left air temperature actuator repair process starts with knee bolster removal followed by hvac control setting to vent mode to expose the defroster door lever. First disconnect and remove the left hand temperature door lever bolt from the hvac module then disconnect the left hand temperature door lever spring and left hand temperature door lever lastly from the left hand temperature door. Start by removing the mounting screws then disconnecting the electrical connector of the left hand air temperature actuator before removing the actuator itself. Begin installing the new left hand air temperature actuator by placing it in position then secure it with mounting screws that should achieve 1.6 n.m (14 lb in) of torque. Connect the electrical connector then mount the left hand temperature door lever onto the left hand temperature door by ensuring the actuator pin fits the lever slot. The left hand temperature door lever spring needs to be reattached between the lever and hvac module case. Then install and tighten left hand temperature door lever bolt to 0.9 n.m (8 lb in). Finally, reinstall the knee bolster.
