To replace the front brake hose of a car having a single piston caliper, one needs to first lift and secure the car properly. Get rid of the front tires and wheels assembly, followed by washing the hose fittings at both ends to remove dirt, grease, or foreign object. Put a container under the hose, in case there is some dripping brake fluid, and unscrew the brake pipe from the flexible brake hose at the frame. Unclamp the front brake hose retainer at the frame bracket, followed by the front flex brake hose bolt and gaskets off the caliper, after which to remove the brake hose. In the case of installation, avoid twisting the brake hose and avoid contact with other components. Maginre the brass gasket with a newer one, install the front flex hose into the brake caliper, and tighten the bolt up to 54 nm (40 ft. Lbs). Next, make sure to install the brake pipe retainer and connect the brake pipe fitting to the front brake hose, and torsion it to 17 nm (13 ft. Lbs.). Bleed the brake system, replace front tires and wheels assembly and finally, eliminate the safety stands before lowering the vehicle.
