How to address issues with the Air Bag Clockspring in the steering wheel module on 2001 Buick Regal?

In order to change the Air Bag Clock Spring, switch off SIR system. Take out Air Bag Clock Spring, steering wheel and the shrouds. Unscrew wire harness straps and take away the retaining ring. Install Air Bag Clock Spring and position it in the middle and reconnect components. Lastly, switch on the SIR system.
