  A: To replace the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor, one should disconnect the negative Battery Cable and lift it on a hoist. Remove the right-open splash shield cover, and crankshaft- Harmonic Balancer. Then, remove the ckp sensor shield using the pry-bar, then also disconnecting the sensor electrical connector and, in addition, removing the two attaching bolts from the ckp before removing it out from the block face. For installation, place the ckp sensor at the block and bolt it there, ensuring the bolts are tightened up to 30 n.m (22 lb ft).
