Start by the removal of the air intake ducts and inspect the bore of the Throttle Body and check the throttle valve plate, open the throttle to verify all surfaces. Any solvent that contains methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) should not be used since it is capable of damaging the fuel system components. Clean the bore of the Throttle Body and the throttle valve plate using a clean shop towel with a gm top engine cleaner (P/N 1052626), ac-delco carburetor tune-up conditioner (P/N X66-P), or equivalent product. Produce the air intake duct and the required air intake duct clamps and install prior to overtighten the clamps to 3 n.m (27 lb in) and inspect for air leaks.
