    A: The first step for replacement of primary camshaft drive chain and sprockets involves unmounting the Oil Pump. You need to adjust the marks on the crankshaft using the j 39946 crankshaft rotation socket. First remove the secondary camshaft drive chains from the vehicle then proceed to take out the primary drive chain tensioner. You should disconnect the camshaft intermediate sprocket retaining bolt before extracting the primary camshaft drive chain , crankshaft sprocket and camshaft intermediate sprocket as one piece. The installation process requires you to position the timing marks of camshaft intermediate and crankshaft sprockets perpendicular to each other. Start with installing the primary camshaft drive chain onto its sprockets while making sure that the number i piston rests at top dead center (TDC) with the 1 o'clock crankshaft keyway alignment. Install the primary camshaft drive chain together with crankshaft sprocket and camshaft intermediate sprocket with the help of crankshaft rotation socket j 39946 while keeping the crankshaft key in alignment with the drive sprocket. Affix the camshaft intermediate sprocket retaining bolt to a torque of 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.). The pin on the tensioner must stay in place until the secondary timing chains receive installation. After installing the primary drive chain tensioner you will move forward with secondary camshaft drive chains setup. The last step involves removing the pin on the primary Timing Chain tensioner release lever before aligning the primary timing marks vertically then reinstalling the Oil Pump.
