  A: The first step when replacing the right valve Rocker Arm includes right camshafts removal and exact positioning of reutilized followers for future reinstallment. The cleaning and inspection of rocker arms starts after removing Camshaft followers. The roller pivot pocket and valve slot areas of the Camshaft followers require an application of gm p/n 12345001 or equivalent lubricant in generous amounts for installation. The installation requires the follower to be facing directly forward on the valve tip so the roller fully touches the Camshaft lobe. The followers need to return back to their initial positions during any instance of reuse. Position the Camshaft followers onto valve tips and shlas by setting the follower's rounded head on shlas and flat end on tips. Finally, install the right camshafts.
