Your next step should be to remove tailgate latch bolts before you take out the latch. Before installation line up the holes in the latch component with the support structure followed by assembly. Fix the tailgate latch bolts in place and torque them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Attach the rear compartment lid lock release actuator electrical connector to its secondary lock retainer before reinstalling the rear compartment trim assembly.
