  A: Start by elevating the vehicle and removing the front wheelhouse rear filler panel to reach the latch if the Hood Cable fails. Start by using a long screwdriver to activate the latch before removing both hood latches and disconnecting their hood cables. Pull the Hood Cable out of its retainers on the plenum panel before you redirect the cables to pass easily through the dash panel hole. Unscrew the handle's Hood Cable screws along with the dash panel grommet before pulling the cables through the dash panel hole. During installation connect the cables by moving them through the dash panel opening and past retainers on the plenum panel until they reach the latches to position the latch handle. Secure the handle to its position by installing screws and tightening them to a torque of 2 n.m (18 lb in). Fit the cable grommet through the carpet insulator slits before installing it through the dash panel where it meets the latches.
