How to replace the Release Hood Cable on Chevrolet Corvette?

Before cable installation begin by elevating the vehicle and removing the front wheelhouse rear filler panel that provides access to the Hood Latch while using a long screwdriver to trip the latch. Start by untapping right and left hood latches before disconnecting the Hood Cable from each latch. Reposition the cables until they easily pass through the dash panel opening before removing screws attaching the cable handle and Hood Cable grommet to the panel. Guide the hood cables along the opening located on the dash panel. When installing the cables guide them through the dash panel opening before positioning the latch handle correctly. Screw in the hood release handle mounts with 2 n.m (18 lb in) torque settings. Mount the cable grommet through carpet insulator slits and into the dash panel before linking cables to latches while installing hood latches. You must check that the latches work properly.
