2001 Chevrolet Corvette Power Steering Reservoir Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Power Steering Reservoir on 2001 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: The process for replacing the remote power steering reservoir starts by positioning a drain pan underneath the vehicle followed by unscrewing the capstick from the power steering reservoir. The power steering reservoir should be detached from the power steering reservoir bracket while the power steering reservoir outlet pipe/hose and the power steering return hose must be removed from the power steering reservoir. Then remove the power steering reservoir from its vehicle position. The power steering reservoir installation process requires placing the device back into the vehicle while the alignment mark on the power steering return hose should rest at the lowest part of the reservoir. The power steering reservoir outlet pipe/hose and power steering return hose must be installed on the power steering reservoir before securing them to the power steering reservoir bracket. The power steering system process requires bleeding as a final step.
