Start by discarding the big seal retaining clamp before moving the inboard seal out from its position on the trilobal tripot bushing. You should remove both the tripot joint spider inside the housing and the trilobal tripot bushing inside the housing. Use j 8059 to separate spacer rings and remove the spider assembly while additionally cleaning the halfshaft bar and inspecting the spider assembly for both wear and damage. To assemble the joint begin by placing the new swage ring onto the joint seal and position it on the halfshaft bar. Use j 41048 to align the halfshaft assembly properly before securing it with the bolts. Use j 8059 to install the spacer rings and spider assembly until both rings settle fully into place. Installation of the trilobal tripot bushing requires housing repackaging together with inboard seal greasing. Install the new seal retaining clamp then place the housing onto the spider assembly. Perform the correct shaping of the seal before lining up and latching the assembly components. Finish by crimping the seal retaining clamp with j 35910 until it reaches 176nm (130 ft. Lbs.), using a torque wrench and breaker bar combination when possible, after which check the clamp's ear gap before tightening more if needed.
