How to replace the MAP Sensor on 2001 Chevrolet Impala?

To replace the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor, the first thing you should do is turn OFF the ignition. Depress the MAP sensor from the bracket by removing the screws that hold the MAP sensor to the bracket, disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector and the MAP inlet vacuum hose, and then use it to remove the MAP sensor from the bracket. For the installation, install the MAP sensor to bracket, MAP inlet vacuum hose to the MAP sensor, MAP sensor to electronic connector. Turn the screws into place, then tighten to 3 N.m (27 lb in), making sure to follow the Fastener Notice as laid out in Service Precautions.
