How to replace the rear brake line on 2001 Chevrolet Lumina?

Securely elevate your vehicle before you proceed to replace the brake hose at the back. Clean all foreign material from brake hose and fittings after you take the wheel and tire off the rear. Apply a back up wrench to anchor the fitting while removing brake pipes from brake hose without letting pipes bend. Use tools to detach retainer clips keeping the brake hose in position at its brackets. Install the new brake hose into its brackets without bends so the hose fitting lines up perfectly with the bracket notch when following the hose paint stripe. Use a back up wrench to join the brake pipes to brake hose while holding the parts straight and fitting them down to 27 Nm torque. Install the tire and wheel back onto the car then bring it down. Perform the brake bleed technique and use the retainer clips to connect the hose fittings at the brackets.
