  A: Begin service work on the Exhaust Manifold after waiting for system temperature to drop and before disconnecting the Battery Cable. Service of the Exhaust Manifold requires technicians to disconnect h02s1 sensor electrical connector and unfasten two nuts and three bolts along with upper Exhaust Manifold heat shield to remove components from the Exhaust Manifold. Following support from a jack the technician should remove 2 bolts and a nut and also remove the Exhaust Manifold reinforcement bracket from the combination of block and Exhaust Manifold. Next, remove 2 bolts and the front pipe/three way catalytic converter (TWC) assembly from the Exhaust Manifold . The Exhaust Manifold needs installation of a new gasket with a manifold while using 9 nuts with 23 nm (17 ft. Lbs.) torque settings and engine hanger connection to the cylinder head. The vehicle needs to be raised once again for the front pipe/twc assembly installation which should use a new gasket and be bolted to the Exhaust Manifold before tightening the bolts to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Fasten the Exhaust Manifold brackets to the engine block and Exhaust Manifold through 1 nut and 2 bolts that require tightening to 54 nm (40 ft. Lbs.) and 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.), respectively. Attach the upper Exhaust Manifold heat shield above the Exhaust Manifold by fastening 2 nuts and 3 bolts until they reach torque of 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Connect the (H02S1) electrical connector and the negative Battery Cable while tightening the cable bolt to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.).
