How to replace the Blower Motor Resistor Assembly (C42) on 2001 GMC Jimmy?

The electrical connector has to be disconnected first before replacing the Blower Motor Resistor Assembly (C42). Pull the blower motor resistor machine screws out to take the resistor unit out from the blower case. Install the blower motor resistor back into its housing keeping the Fastener Notice from Service Precautions in mind. Insert and snug both blower motor resistor mounting screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in). Rejoin the electrical connector as the final step.
