How to replace the A/C Switch control assembly on 2001 GMC Jimmy?

To replace the HVAC control assembly, initially is uninstalling the instrument panel accessory trim plate and uninstalling the retaining screws for the HVAC control assembly. Press the retaining tabs to remove the HVAC control assembly from the instrument panel and then separate the vacuum harness connector and electrical connectors from the assembly. For installation, connect the electrical connectors to the HVAC control assembly and then the vacuum harness connector and then place the assembly back to the instrument panel with making sure all 4 retaining tabs lock in place. Finally, install the retaining screws by tightening them up to 1.9 N.m (17 lib in) before reinstalling the instrument panel accessory trim plate. Perform heater function test to confirm correct operation.
