How to replace the A/C Switch control assembly on 2000 GMC Jimmy?

To remove the control assembly, remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate. Secondly, remove the HVAC control assembly retaining screws, and press down the retaining tabs to release the HVAC control assembly from the instrument panel. Take away the electrical connectors and move the HVAC control assembly bulb outwards, keeping it to be used later on. For installation, start by placing back the HVAC control assembly bulb to the HVAC control assembly and reconnecting the electrical connectors. Mount the HVA control assembly on to the instrument panel so that the retaining tabs clip in place, then tighten the retaining screws to a torque of 1.9 N. m (17 lb. in.)idle. Finally, re-install the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
