How to service the front defroster blend door actuator on 2000 GMC Jimmy?

Positioning the actuator being serviced is found at the bottom left part of the heater/vent module. So, start with removal of left side instrument panel sound insulator and center instrument panel sound insulator. Next, remove the vacuum connector at the defroster actuator and then remove the actuator rod retaining clip and the actuator rod from the defroster valve lever . With a firm grip on the defroster actuator, pull until it is detached from the heater/vent module. For the installation, one should locate the defroster actuator while ensuring that the retaining tab locks in place and afterwards attach the actuator rod to defroster door lever also Ensuring that it gets secured using the actuator rod retaining clip . Reconnect the vacuum connector to the defroster actuator , and lastly instates the center and left side instrument panel sound insulators.
