    To replace the HVAC control assembly, the process of removing the instrument panel accessory trim plate and the retaining screws for the HVAC control assembly is done to begin with. Depress the retaining tabs to remove the HVAC control assembly from instrument panel and then remove the vacuum harness connector and electrical connectors from the assembly. Hooks the electrical connectors and the vacuum harness connector to the HVAC control assembly and places the assembly back to the instrument panel with all the 4 retaining tabs fitting in the right place. Secure the assembly to the retaining screws which must be secured with 1.9 N.m (17 lb in) for the tightness, and finally install the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
