How to replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor on 2001 GMC Jimmy?

Begin by switching off engine ignition along with loose wing nuts securing the air cleaner cover and outlet duct. Then pull the air intake assembly to the side. Before uninstalling the ect sensor, remove its harness connector and drain the cooling system to a level that is below the sensor. Application requires gm p/n 12346004 sealer or its equivalent on thread sections before installing ect sensor through the engine while torqueing it to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). After connecting the ect sensor harness connector and refilling the cooling system it is necessary to install the air cleaner outlet duct assembly while tightening wing nuts. Last but not least connect the negative Battery Cable.
