Start the Power Steering Cooler pipe/hose replacement by removing the air cleaner assembly followed by setting a drain pan under your vehicle. The first step for Power Steering Cooler pipe/hose replacement requires workers to disconnect the p/s cooler hose from both the Power Steering Pump and Power Steering Cooler components before removing it from the vehicle. The new Power Steering Cooler hose installation requires proper connection to the Power Steering Cooler and subsequent tightening of the clamp to 2 nm (18 inch lbs.) torque. After attaching the hose to the Power Steering Pump you need to tighten it to 2 nm (18 inch lbs.) at the clamp. To finish the inspection replace the drain pan while reinstalling the air cleaner assembly followed by power steering system bleeding.
