How to replace the rear trunk latch on 2001 GMC Yukon XL 1500?

In order to install the liftgate latch, loosen the latch assembly bolts and remove the latch assembly. Unscrew the electrical connector and take off the cable. To install, plug the cable and electrical connector and refit the latch assembly to the liftgate and fasten with the bolts.
