Fill out the retaining clip from the fuel level sensor harness connector then detach the fuel level sensor harness connector that rests under the fuel sender cover. Service the fuel level sensor by first disconnecting the fuel pump harness connector before taking out the fuel level sensor from the fuel sender assembly along with the fuel level sensor harness connector under the fuel sender cover. The installation process requires attaching the fuel level sensor to modular fuel sender followed by fuel pump harness connector connection. After reattaching the retaining clip of the fuel level sensor harness connector under the fuel sender cover proceed to install both the fuel sender assembly and retaining clip.
