How to Service and Repair the Evaporator on 2002 Buick LeSabre?

The hvac module removal process requires removal of the heating core seal and Evaporator tubes before replacing the core. The Evaporator core needs to be removed by separating the hvac Evaporator case halves after unscrewing its upper hvac Evaporator case screws. The installation process starts by adding the suitable amount of refrigerant oil to the Evaporator followed by inserting the Evaporator core into the module housing while following the fastener notice in service precautions. Fasten the new upper hvac module case by using upper hvac module screws to 1.4 n.m (12 lb in). As a final step install the seal over both pipes of the Heater Core and the Evaporator and then reinstall the hvac assembly.
