2001 Buick LeSabre Evaporator Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the evaporator core on 2001 Buick LeSabre?
A: The hvac module assembly requires removal as the first step to replace the Evaporator core. You must remove the Heater Core and Evaporator tubes seal before taking out the upper hvac Evaporator case screws to split the hvac Evaporator case in half which enables access to remove the Evaporator core. During installation insert the correct amount of refrigerant oil to the Evaporator before placing the Evaporator core inside the module housing followed by installation of the upper hvac module case. Start by tightening the upper hvac module screws to 1.4 n.m while using 12 lb in torque measurement. Install the Heater Core and Evaporator pipes seal before putting back the hvac assembly.
