In order to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) 2, first lift the vehicle and support it. Drain the cooling system to avoid burns from hot engine coolant that might still be indwelt in the engine water jacket. Disconnected the electrical connector and remove the knock sensor (KS) . When installing the new KS do not apply thread sealant on the sensor threads because they are factory-coated and more sealant will reduce their ability to detect detonation. torque to 19 N.m/14lbft. After installing, reconnect the KS electrical connector, drop the vehicle, and top up the cooling system.
