Apply a grease pencil mark on the rear door lock striker position before you take out its screws to extract first the lock striker and then the shims and finally the anchor plate. The installation requires you to first install the anchor plate followed by placing lock shims together with the striker afterward you can place the lock striker screws. Secure the lock striker screws at 24 N.m (18 lb ft) after aligning it with the previous pencil marks. Adjust the lock striker only if needed before refitting the rear quarter lower trim.
