  A: Begin denso g3a generator servicing by disconnecting the negative cable of the battery then removing the auxiliary Drive Belt. Work on the auxiliary generator by first disconnecting its wiring harness connector then relocating its protective boot from the bat terminal. To service the denso g3a generator start by removing the auxiliary generator output bat terminal nut then unscrew the positive lead from the auxiliary generator. Start removing surge tank mounting nuts and bolt followed by taking off the overflow hose retainer from its mounting location at the strut tower. Clear away the surge tank from its position to find the auxiliary generator mounting bolt while observing the three shims which exist between the auxiliary generator and the front of the auxiliary generator bracket. Take out the auxiliary generator from the vehicle by removing the auxiliary generator mounting bolts (1, 4) and nut . Place the auxiliary generator in position behind the engine while inserting 3 shims between the generator and its mounting bracket. Securely bolt the generator into place with bolts (1, 4) and the nut. Halfway up the surge tank you should mount it to the mounting studs while guiding the overflow hose through the retainer before attaching the retainer to its mounting position at the strut tower. Secure the surge tank mounting nuts using a torque of 6 n.m (53 lb in) along with the bolt. Route the wiring harness connector to the auxiliary generator while using the battery positive lead to join the auxiliary generator output bat terminal that requires tightening to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Next proceed by positioning the protective boot over the auxiliary generator output bat terminal while installing the auxiliary Drive Belt and performing the battery negative cable reconnection.
