  A: The first step for changing the denso g3a generator starts with disconnecting the battery negative cable then removing the auxiliary Drive Belt. To begin the work you need to disconnect the wiring harness connector from the auxiliary generator then move the protective boot off the bat terminal of the auxiliary generator. Remove the auxiliary generator output bat terminal nut and then disconnect the positive lead which is attached to the auxiliary generator. Placing the surge tank mounting bolts aside allows you to take off the overflow hose retainer from the strut tower mounting stud. Position the surge tank carefully to reach the auxiliary generator mounting bolt for removal of the auxiliary generator mounting bolts (1, 4) and nut keeping in mind that there are 3 shims placed between the auxiliary generator and the front of the auxiliary generator bracket. Fix the surge tank mounting nuts with their bolt and tighten them to achieve 6 n.m (53 lb in) torque. The auxiliary generator wiring harness connector requires connection after which install the battery positive lead and apply the auxiliary generator output bat terminal nut with 10 n.m torque (89 lb in). Apply the protective boot to the auxiliary generator output bat terminal followed by the auxiliary Drive Belt installation and complete the process by reconnecting the battery negative cable.
