  A: To start replacement tasks put your vehicle on a level ground position with wheels blocked and parking brake activated. Lower the gear selector to the first gear position to get under the vehicle and take off the cross vehicle brace along with the Cruise Control Module and air cleaner assembly. Separate the master cylinder and accelerator cable from the vacuum Brake Booster followed by disconnecting the vacuum check valve from the shift control cable on top of the shaft lever pin. Uninstall the left knee bolster plus secondary air injection pipe and left closeout insulator panel. Disconnect the vacuum Brake Booster components by taking off its retainer and foam spacer from the Brake Pedal clevis pin while separating the pushrod. Detach the vacuum Brake Booster while removing its mounting nuts from the Brake Pedal assembly studs. Change the Brake Booster mounting gasket if needed. Set the Brake Booster mounting gasket onto the booster surface before placing it into the vehicle. Insert a 23 nm torque Brake Pedal mounting studs before puting a tiny lubricant drop (GM P/N 12346293) on the clevis pin. Thread in the vacuum Brake Booster pushrod onto the Brake Pedal clevis pin after placing its foam spacer and retaining clip. Replace both knee bolster and insulator left panel before you join shift lever pin to secondary air injection pipes and control sap. Connect the vacuum Brake Booster check valve plus master cylinder to their proper locations while attaching the accelerator cable to its original position. Put back all air cleaner and cruise control components plus put on the cross vehicle brace before moving the shift lever to park and taking out the wheel chock.
