• Q: How to replace the rear brake disc on 2002 Cadillac Eldorado?

  A: Firstly, remove the tire and wheel assembly in order to replace the rear Brake Disc. Support the brake caliper with the heavy mechanic's wire or another similar one whenever it will be detached from its mount with a still connected hydraulic flexible brake hose (and will not do this will later cause damages to the brake hose and directly cause a brake fluid leak). Next, pull off the brake caliper and bracket off the vehicle but at an angle where you have the caliper assembly supported away from the disc, followed by the removal of the Brake Disc. It is a must to clean any rust or contaminants that were attached to the wheel bearing flange and the Brake Disc mating surface before detaching the disc from the wheel bearing flange, failure to which will contribute to more lateral runout of the Brake Disc and brake pulsation.
