How to replace the front brake line on 2002 Cadillac Eldorado?

The first step is to raise and support the vehicle; then take off the tire and wheel assembly. After cleaning the brake hose and all the fittings, fit a rubber cap or plug onto the exposed brake pipe fitting to stop any loss or contamination of brake fluid. Use a flat tool to take off the brake hose retainer before pulling the brake pipe fitting off the brake hose. Take off the brake hose from the brake hose to rail bracket and brake caliper by undoing the brake hose to caliper bolt. Remove and toss out the two copper gaskets found on the end of the brake hose or brake caliper, and put a rubber plug into the brake hose inlet bolt hole of the brake caliper to stop fluid from leaking. Pull the hose bracket bolt out of the strut assembly and take off the brake hose. At installation, take out the rubber plug from the brake hose hole in the brake caliper and add the new copper brake hose gaskets. Put the new gaskets on the brake hose to caliper bolt and screw it into the brake caliper, tightening it to 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.), and make sure the hose remains smooth. Put the brake hose on the appropriate bracket, fit the retainer over it, then take away the rubber cap or plug from the brake pipe fitting. Attach the brake pipe fitting to the brake hose using a torque of 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.), then fit and tighten the bracket bolt to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.) when you install the brake hose to the rail bracket and bolt onto the strut assembly. After all, bleed the caliper with the bleeder screw, put the tire and wheel assembly back on, and lower the car.
