How to replace the front brake line on 2001 Cadillac Eldorado?

To change the front brake hose, raise and support the vehicle followed by the removal of the tire and wheel assembly. Clean the brake hose and the fitting of brake pipe of any dirt, install a rubber cap or plug the open end of the brake pipe fitting to avoid loss of and contamination of the brake fluid. Take off the brake pipe fitting from the brake hose and pry off the brake hose retainer using a flat-bladed tool. Then, take off disconnect the brake hose from the brake hose to rail bracket and brake caliper by unscrewing brake hose to caliper bolt. Throw away the two copper brake hose gaskets, as they can become stuck on the caliper or brake hose end, and insert the rubber plug in the brake hose inlet bolt hole of the caliper. The bolt holding the hose bracket on the strut assembly should be removed so that the brake hose can be removed. For installation, unplug the rubber plug from the caliper bolt hole, while substituting with new copper break hose gaskets. Mount the brake hose to the caliper bolt using the new gaskets and install it on the brake caliper, and tighten to 33 ft. Lbs, (45 Nm), and make sure that the hose is not twisted or bent. Mount the brake hose onto the brake hose bracket and then put on the brake hose retainer. Unscrew the rubber cap of the brake pipe fitting and then attach it onto the brake hose and tighten it to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Last, install the brake hose to rail bracket and bolt to the strut assembly torqued to 9 nm (80 in-lbs), bleed the brake caliper at bleeder screw, reinstall tire and wheel assy and lower vehicle.
