    A: Beginning the repair process requires technicians to drain the cooling system and remove three parts: the air cleaner assembly, the fuel injector sight shield, and the brake booster vacuum tube from the water housing crossover. Remove the system by disconnecting the fuel regulator vacuum tube and the secondary air solenoid vacuum tube before you take out the Throttle Body and left engine mount strut bracket and EGR Valve. The egr inlet pipe nut must be disconnected from the exhaust crossover only if the EGR Valve inlet pipe needs replacement from the water crossover connection point. Then unscrew the egr inlet pipe bolt and flange from the water crossover before discarding the egr inlet pipe. After disconnecting the evap emission canister purge valve, you should remove the MAP Sensor while also disconnecting its electrical connector. Remove the radiator inlet hose and outlet hose from water housing crossover and Thermostat Housing by using j 38185 hose clamp pliers (J 38185). Cut off the Water Pump and use wrenches to detach the two Water Pump belt tensioner bolts which mount to the water crossover before taking out the Water Pump belt tensioner . Firmware the water housing crossover by removing its cable harness clip while setting it aside. Afterwards disconnect the heater hose from this crossover and proceed with removing the water housing crossover from the engine. Before water housing crossover installation check its condition by fitting the upper and lower water housing crossover gaskets onto the eight crossover retaining bolts paying attention to the proper gasket orientation. Use hand power to install the water housing crossover and torque all bolts to 25 nm (18 ft.lbs.). Connect the heater hose and cable harness clip to the water housing crossover followed by installing the two bolts which cinch the Water Pump belt tensioner to the water crossover. Apply 10 nm (89 inch lbs.) of torque to the bolts. The j 38185 tool will assist in linking the radiator outlet hose to the Thermostat Housing while connecting the radiator inlet hose to the water housing crossover. After this, install the Water Pump. After connecting electrical wiring you must install the EGR Valve and handle the EGR Valve inlet pipe replacement when removed. Begin hand-tightening the new egr inlet pipe-to-crossover pipe nut to avoid cross-threading before tightening it to 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.) and connect the egr inlet pipe flange to the water crossover and install and tighten the egr inlet pipe-to-water crossover flange bolt to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). After the Throttle Body installation finish your work by reconnecting the secondary air solenoid vacuum tube as well as the fuel regulator vacuum tube and brake booster vacuum tube followed by installing the Throttle Body, fuel injector sight shield, and air cleaner assembly and filling the cooling system with fluid.
