How to service and repair the wiper arm on 2002 Cadillac Eldorado?

Service the Wiper Arm by starting with a washer hose disconnect from the air inlet grille panel connector then take the protective cap off. Push a proper pin or pop rivet entirely through the two opening ports next to the Wiper Arm's pivot. When ready to remove the Wiper Arm use the Wiper Arm puller (J 39822) to detach the arm from its transmission position without the nut. Brush clean the transmission pivot shaft knurls and remove the Wiper Blade from the Wiper Arm. Set the Wiper Blade on the Wiper Arm before inserting the Wiper Arm on to the transmission drive shaft. Align the assembly 25 mm below the park ramp stop surface. Disconnect the pivot prevention pin from your Wiper Arm and attach a new nut before tightening it to 32 n.m (24 lb ft). After pressing the Wiper Arm over the park ramp put on the protective cap again and attach the washer hose to its connector near the grille panel. When wipers are on operate them to confirm that the lh blade extends just 3.063 inches (78 mm) towards the pillar and the rh blade reaches into the lh wiping area before halting to test for correct parking position.
