Proceed with these steps to replace the Crankshaft balancer: the wheelhouse must lose its right front wheel and front fascia extension and its engine Oil Pan-transaxle case brace and torque converter cover. Position the flywheel holder (J44214) before eliminating the Crankshaft balancer bolt from its position. Support the engine assembly with a suitable jack before the removal of the nut that connects the right Engine Mount to the right Engine Mount Bracket. You should lower the engine to position the j41816 Crankshaft balancer remover beneath the body rail before installing the pilot through the Crankshaft end for balancer removal. An examination and cleaning process precedes positioning the Crankshaft balancer on the nose of the Crankshaft. Use the Crankshaft balancer installer (J41998-B) to secure the Crankshaft balancer then cleanse the Crankshaft balancer bolt threads before applying engine oil to them. Fasten the Crankshaft balancer bolt with 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) and proceed to use the torque/angle meter (J36660-A) to achieve 120 degrees of final tightening. Position the engine assembly properly for installation of the right Engine Mount nut to the right Engine Mount Bracket while tightening it to 80 nm (59 ft. Lbs.). After removing the engine support jack and j44214 install the torque converter cover followed by the Oil Pan to transaxle brace holders with standard torque of 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). The last step includes mounting the front fascia extension at the wheelhouse followed by installing the right front wheel as well as lowering the vehicle with the Drive Belt installation completed.
