  A: First loosen the Hood Latch when opening the hood to replace the Hood Cable. The hood release cable installation process will be easier when you tie a string to it. You should start by taking off the front wheelhouse panel along with opening the three clips that attach the hood release cable to the vehicle. Two fasteners attachment points between the hood release handle and vehicle need removal to allow disconnecting the hood release cable from its handle. To make installation through the passenger side easier use another piece of string around the hood release cable. After that remove both the hood release cable grommet from the wheel opening and the hood release cable from the vehicle. The installation process requires moving the string to the new hood release cable ends before directing them through the passenger compartment. Secure the hood release cable to the hood release handle by attaching two fasteners and then take away the string. Insert the hood release cable grommet into the wheel opening before pulling the string together with the hood release cable into the engine compartment and retrieving the string back out. The hood release cable should be positioned in the designated clips before closing the clips. Put on the front wheel panel followed by the Hood Latch and then close the hood.
