How to replace the auxiliary side A/C hose on 2002 Chevrolet Astro?

Raising the vehicle while recovering refrigerant is the first step when you replace an auxiliary side accumulator tube. The rear tube of the auxiliary evaporator outlet side tube must be separated first from its O-ring seal before disconnecting the tube from the compressor hose assembly and removing its O-ring seal. Separate the outlet side tube by removing its bolts that hold the clips on the body then extract the auxiliary evaporator side tube from the vehicle. Mount the auxiliary evaporator outlet side tube into its original position within the vehicle by using the bolts which need to be tightened to 4 N.m (35 lb in). The auxiliary evaporator outlet side tube installation requires the attachment to the compressor hose assembly using a new O-ring seal treated with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil. Secure the nut to 47.5 N.m (35 lb ft). You should install another new O-ring seal before connecting the auxiliary evaporator outlet underside body tube to its corresponding rear tube through the nut and torque it to 47.5 N.m (35 lb ft). The process continues with lowering the vehicle and finishing with evacuation and recharging the system. Use the Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A) to conduct a leak test on the component fittings.
