Start by supporting the door while it is fully open before marking both the door and the hinge pillar for the upper hinge location. Begin the procedure by removing the hinge bolts together with the two hinge nuts followed by removing the hinge. Prior to installation position the new hinge at the earlier marked locations while strictly observing the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Attach and torque the upper hinge nuts to a value of 50 N.m (37 lb ft) in the specified sequence while installing the upper hinge bolts to the same torque value.
