Before placing the Timing Chain and sprockets begin by inserting the Crankshaft balancer key into the Crankshaft keyway with a parallel alignment or slight slope towards the Crankshaft. Begin with Timing Chain installation onto sprockets while keeping all timing marks aligned before you proceed with Timing Chain and Crankshaft sprocket and camshaft sprocket installation. Begin by installing the camshaft sprocket bolt and applying 100 nm of torque (74 ft. Lbs.). Afterwards use the torque angle meter (J 36660-A) to apply an additional 90° of torque to the bolt. Place the Timing Chain dampener before tightening the Timing Chain dampener bolt to 22 nm (16 ft. Lbs.).
