You should remove the engine front cover first in order to access the left side Timing Chain. Next, you should remove the right bank Timing Chain Tensioner (Tensioner), the right bank Timing Chain shoe (Shoe) and finally the right bank
Timing Chain Guide (Guide). Take out the right bank Timing Chain, the primary camshaft drive chain tensioner, the primary upper camshaft drive chain guide and the primary camshaft drive chain. Take out the idler on the right side, followed by the tensioner, the shoe, the guide and lastly the idler on the left side bank camshaft. Lastly, take out the left end's Timing Chain, remove any components that need cleaning and check all timing drive components. Begin the installation with the chain next, followed by the idler, the guide, the shoe and finally, the tensioner. After that, add the proper bank camshaft Timing Chain idler (Idler), the primary camshaft drive chain (Chain), the primary upper camshaft drive chain guide (Guide) and the primary camshaft drive chain tensioner (Tensioner). After that, set up the right bank Timing Chain (Chain), the right bank Timing Chain Guide (Guide), the right bank Timing Chain shoe (Shoe) and the right bank Timing Chain Tensioner (Tensioner). In the end, attach the engine front cover once more.
