How to clean the throttle body properly on 2002 Chevrolet Express 2500?

To clear the Throttle Body, first remove the air cleaner outlet duct and check the Throttle Body bore and throttle valve plate for deposits and check that the throttle valve is open to allow full inspection of the Throttle Body bore and throttle valve plate. Do not use immersion cleaners or powerful solvents near the Throttle Body assembly, including the throttle position (TP) sensor, idle air control (IAC) valve, and sealed throttle shaft bearings, as this can cause damage to electric components, seals, or o-rings and they can wash saw grease from the non-serviceable bearings. Do not use a wire brush or scraper as this can damage the components in Throttle Body also be careful of chemicals that contain methyl ethyl ketone. Clean the Throttle Body bore with a clean shop towel using gm top engine cleaner, p/n 1052626 or an equivalent product, and throttle valve plate. If deposits are too much, disassemble Throttle Body to clean deeply without immersing a parts cleaning brush. Clean and reassemble the Throttle Body and install it back along with the air cleaner outlet duct.
