2002 Chevrolet Malibu Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the Headlight Bulb or cornering, sidemarker, park, and turn signal bulbs on 2002 Chevrolet Malibu?
A: A person must first open the hood before starting to replace any vehicle bulbs except the headlamp and cornering, sidemarker, park, and turn signal bulbs. Pull upward on the release tabs and keep the headlamp positioned as you remove it directly forward from the panel that supports the headlamps. First disconnect the electric connectors attached to lamp sockets before removing headlamps or park lamps sockets by rotating them in the counterclockwise direction. Remove the headlamp or park bulb from its engagement with the socket. Position the headlamp or park bulb into its socket before properly aligning the headlamp or park lamp through socket rotation in a clockwise direction. Put the headlamp into position on the mounting panel by engaging the electrical connectors to the sockets and pushing the lamp straight ahead. While holding the headlamp steady in position you must engage the release tabs downward before inspecting and readjusting the headlamp direction prior to hood closure.
