How to replace the front door hinge on 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

Before changing the front door hinge of a Monte Carlo it is important to open the door while providing it support. Mount the front door hinge without bolted intermediate pins before placing the door at its rubber conduit limit. Use a clean rag to clean each surface where the front door hinges will mount then apply markings with grease pencil or marker at the correct locations. Begin by removing bolts from the front door side hinge and then remove the doorside hinge before proceeding to uninstall body side hinge bolts and the body side hinge. Align the body side hinge against its marks and install bolts that require torque to 33 N.m (24 lb ft). After positioning the doorside hinge to the body side hinge you must fasten intermediate hinge bolts to the front door hinge and then tighten them to 33 N.m (24 lb ft). After installing and torquing the doorside hinge bolts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft) you can take the door support away. The door needs final inspection to check its operation and alignment.
